"Animals matter to me because they are living sentient beings who are in more ways than many people imagine, just like humans. Animals bring me a pure form of joy. Whether companion animals, farm animals, or wildlife, all animals should live lives free from torture caused by humans. The fact that humans have the capacity to torture and inflict cruelty to animals does not translate into permission to do so. Cruelty to animals is unacceptable to me, and I work for, and look forward to the day, when cruelty to animals will no longer be tolerated, and then will no longer exist."
