A short story.

Once upon a time there was a boy.

One day, a boy and his dad walked past this pet shop near their house.
They decided to go take a look at the pets. The boy really loved dogs.
The boy fell in love with this dalmatian puppy that was in the corner of the shop.

He asked the dad "Can i have him? Please!"
The dad did not reply, took his hand and went back home.

Since then, the boy kept asking his dad to get the puppy.
Every single time the dad didn't agree. Neither did he disagree.

Then there was this one time when they walked past the shop and the boy dragged his dad into the shop. He wanted to see the puppy.
This time, the dad asked the shop owner how much was the dog.
Then, they left.

The boy was anticipating for his dad to bring back the puppy the next day.
And the next.
And the next...

The next time they walked past the shop, the boy could not hold it in anymore.
He cried out in desperation to his dad.
"Pleaaaaase daddy i want him please!!"
They went into the shop and to the boy's dismay, the puppy had been bought by someone else.
The boy could never have the puppy. Never.

"I'm never getting him! Look at what you've done! You're not my dad!"
The boy ran home crying.

It took some time for the boy to get over his sorrow.
He didn't want to talk to his dad but he knew, deep down, that his dad is still his dad.
And no matter what, he would never intentionally hurt him.
His love was unconditional.

So, he started to go back to being the son that he was to his dad.
